TITLE: Fleming

ROLE: Title Design Development

CLIENT: Sky Atlantic

BRIEF:

Brewery VFX asked us if we would help work on the development ideas for the Sky Atlantic series, Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond, directed by Mat Whitecross and starring Dominic Cooper and Lara Pulver.

PROCESS:

From our initial discussions, we delved into concepts revolving around the usage of ink and typewriters. Our initial idea revolved around unveiling the title by letting ink bleed onto a page, drawing inspiration from Fleming's creativity and writing style. These concepts progressed to include typewriter letters leaving an imprint on a page, followed by the ink gently seeping in. To enhance the atmosphere, we introduced cigarette smoke and lighting filtering through blinds, casting intriguing shadows across the page. The final titles were crafted by Brewery VFX, and while we enjoyed exploring different styles and directions, the ultimate decision rested with them and director Matt Whitecross.
