Description:
Our dear friends, the Blaine Brothers, invited us to design and create the titles for a series they were directing for a comedy written by Sara Pascoe. Starring Sara Pascoe, Fiona Button, Juliet Steveson, Tom Stuart, Cariad Lloyd, Cian Barry and Adrian Edmondson. Our task was to create unique designs for each episode, seamlessly animating them within the underground train posters. Each intro needed to encapsulate the essence of its respective episode, reflecting Sara Pascoe's signature style with vibrant colours and playful themes.
PROCESS
Like all our projects we started with a treatment, proposing to Ben, Chris and Sara out intentions for the animated sequences and how we’re title the show. A mood-board was created, with examples of gifs and imagery we felt related to the shows tone, style and subject matter. From here we created a written treatment for each episode and after this phase the design stage.
Once everyone was happy with our direction, we started animating.

We also helped the Blaine’s out with a sequence involving Shelia Reid as Mrs Answers, a holographic incarnation of a search engine with a little too many useful tips. We were on set to supervise what was needed, and too meet the cast (bonus!), after this we took the plates and started work. As Mrs Answers need lots of glitching adding to the edges, we worked on various layers to create digital holographic quality that also helped with the humour of the scene.
